History of Silver Beach Resort |

Silver
Beach Resort in Spirit Lake Idaho is located among the beautiful Coeur
d'Alene lakes and is nestled amongst the old growth forest on the sandy shores
of mystical Spirit Lake.
Silver Beach Resort has captivated the spirit of it's visitors since 1918 and is appreciated for its peaceful seclusion and unspoiled setting. We are celebrating 100 years of public service to thousands of happy cabin guests, boat guests and campers. Come celebrate with us!
Although Silver Beach seems "A Million Miles from Nowhere",
we are only 25 miles from beautiful Coeur d'Alene, 40 minutes from the Spokane Valley Mall, 40 minutes from picturesque Sandpoint, and 12 miles from fun filled
Silverwood Amusement Park. Many public golf courses, including the famous Coeur
d'Alene with the unique floating green are nearby for your enjoyment.
Spirit Lake is well known for its outstanding bass and
delicious "Kokanee" fishing and offers clear, warm, glassy water skiing and
uncongested boating. The lake itself measures more than four and a half
miles long and over a mile wide at its broadest point at Silver Beach. With 12
miles of shoreline, and 2440 feet above sea level, it is the highest elevation
of all the small lakes in the Inland Empire and is nearly 100 feet deep in
parts.
Spirit Lake is known to be one of only two
sealed bottom lakes in the world - an appropriate setting for those legendary
Indian spirits that are said to frequent the beautiful water of this
fascinating "Lake of the Spirits".
Our resort
offers something for everyone in the family; sandy swimming beaches,
playground, horseshoes, boat docks and launch facilities.
Our comfortable and cozy lake front cabins are nestled among
the large trees and allows you to gaze over our peaceful lake. RV camping
is by the season only. Sorry, No Overnight Camping.
Thousands of acres of forest surround Silver Beach, offering
you the opportunity to explore for miles in all directions. |
